Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email, username and display name when you sign up.
  • Your activity: teams/players/tournaments you follow, predictions, trivia answers, points, friends, and messages you send.
  • Alert preferences: which events and channels (email, web push) you've opted into. For web push we store an anonymous push subscription from your browser.
  • Payments: if you subscribe or donate, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only a customer reference and subscription status.
  • Technical data: basic, privacy-respecting logs needed to run the service and prevent abuse.

How we use it

  • To run your account, show your followed content, and send the alerts you asked for.
  • To operate the prediction game, trivia, leaderboard and social features.
  • To keep the community PG — message and profile text is screened by automated moderation.
  • To process supporter subscriptions and donations.

Cookies & advertising

We use a small number of essential cookies (for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your supporter status so we can hide ads). If advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense, which may set cookies to show relevant ads. Supporters see no ads. You can manage ad personalisation via Google's settings, and control cookies in your browser.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that make the service work: Stripe (payments), our email provider (alerts), and Cloudflare (hosting). We do not sell personal data.

Your choices & rights

  • Turn alerts on/off anytime in your settings; unsubscribe from any email.
  • Make your profile private or public.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing [email protected].

Children

ScoreBorg is intended for users 13 and older. We keep all public content PG.
